Multicenter Automatic Defibrillator Implantation Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Trial

Summary: The purpose of this study is to determine if people who have impaired heart function will have improved survival and less heart failure with implantation of an automatic defibrillator device that can also pace the heart more efficiently using resynchronization (CRT-D) when compared to people treated with only an implanted defibrillator (lCD-only).
