A Multicenter, Double-blind, Randomized Study to Establish the Clinical Benefit and Safety ofVytorin (ezetimibe/simvastatin) versus Simvastatin Monotherapy in Highrisk Patients Presenting with Acute Coronary Syndrome
Summary: The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the clinical benefit of ezeimibe/simvastatin combination compared with simvastatin in stabilized acute coronary syndrome subjects, either acute myocardial infarction or unstable angina. It is the intent to demonstrate such benefit of ezetimibe/simvastatin combination over at least two and a half years of follow-up in high-risk coronary artery disease subjects beyond the known benefits of simvastatin monotherapy.
